Dental Radiography Head Phantom

The Dental Radiography Head Phantom from Kyoto is designed for extra-oral (panoramic) radiography. The phantom features state-of-the-art synthetic teeth with internal structures, whilst the removable jaws and tongue allow a variety of applications for both training and research.

Each tooth is individually modeled and has a three-layer structure of enamel, dentin and pulp cavity, each hard tissue has a particular HU number and X-ray absorption rate. As the jaws and tongue are detachable, this allows access to the oral cavity, pharyngeal cavity and maxillary sinus. Simulated lesions or residue can be set in these cavities. The carotid arteries are prepared as lumens to accommodate cimulated calcifications.

The phantom is available with the mouth closed or mouth open.
