Lightweight lead is better suited to environments when the apron will be worn for shorter periods as whilst it is a much cheaper option it is also significantly heavier than our edge bilayer, lead free option.
As the Lightweight lead is tested up to 150 Kv it makes this material more suitable for high KV procedures.

Our ultralight Edge Bilayer - Lead Free solution, By layering Antimony with Bismuth it provides a superior level of protection that conforms to the highest standards at the lowest weights.
This solution, is better suited to environments when the apron will be worn for longer periods as whilst it is a much more expensive option it is also significantly lighter than our lightweight lead option
In order to keep the weight low, our Bilayer material is tested to 110 kV, which helps us reduce the weight and is suitable for most interventional work when the aprons may be worn for longer periods.
